KSEF Road to Bronze
KSEF, we have a goal worth working for: U.S. Ski & Snowboard Bronze Club Certification for the 2027/28 season. Better coaching. A stronger team. More kids finding their confidence and their love of skiing at Kirkwood.
Look how far we’ve come.
Last season, we got to work rebuilding KSEF from the ground up. Coaches put in the hours. Families showed up. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves. Our athletes kept reminding us why it matters.
Under Athletic Director Kylese Markt, Program Administrator Dana Keith, and the leadership of our Board of Directors, we’ve brought greater stability and growth to the program. We’re keeping good coaches, helping them grow and giving our families a team they can count on. Thank you for being part of it.
People make the program
Keeping good coaches matters. So does giving them time and support to keep learning. Our coaches are continuing their education and working toward higher qualifications. That work comes back to our athletes, turn after turn.
Our home on the hill
The KSEF Race Facility is a big part of the work ahead and the progress we’ve made. It reflects a simple belief: our athletes and coaches deserve a place that supports the work they put in on the mountain.
KSEF shows up.
From Meyers Mountain Market to our Tahoe Knight Monsters and Celebrity Golf partnerships, we’re getting out into the community. Meeting neighbors. Making friends. Giving more people a reason to cheer for these kids.

Every volunteer shift, fundraiser and family who brings a friend helps support coaching, scholarships and the season ahead. More is in the works. We’ll share it when it’s ready.
What Bronze means for our families
U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s Podium Club Certification process looks at how a club supports its athletes and runs its organization. Bronze includes a review of the club’s own practices and an interview, with staff, board and community voices involved.
For our families, the goal is simple. Know who to call. Know that coaches have support to do their best work. Help athletes feel safe, challenged and welcome. Take good care of the program so the next generation gets its turn, too.

We’ll keep building through the 2026/27 season as we work toward Bronze for 2027/28. We’ll share our progress with KSEF families, our Kirkwood Mountain neighbors, Far West Skiing and U.S. Ski & Snowboard.
