Martin Luther King Weekend (MLK)
January 16–17, 2027
Martin Luther King Weekend (MLK)January 16–17, 2027 · The Plaza
MLK weekend is one of our biggest fundraisers, and we need you to help make it a success. You may pick up your raffle ticket/packet from the team room starting on January 2, 2027, and can sell tickets to friends and family. People do not have to be present to win!
We would love to encourage families to aim to sell $200 worth of raffle tickets. These funds directly support the longevity and growth of our program, including coach education, coach travel expenses, coaching labor, and continued program development.
Raffle Drawing Details
The raffle drawing will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2027 at 3:00 p.m. in the Plaza.
Please be sure to turn in all raffle tickets before this time so they can be included in the drawing.
KSEF will be in the Plaza all weekend, January 16–17, 2027, selling tickets, and athletes can sell tickets during a longer lunch break, but please try to sell tickets in advance as well!
This fundraiser plays an important role in helping ensure our program continues to thrive—not just this season, but for generations to come. Thank you for your continued support and for being part of our community.

A note from Coop to the tribe
Hola, my friends!
The Legendary Banked Slalom is back for 2027 with a load of upgrades. First, let me address the elephant on the deck: I know last year was rough. We listened, we learned, and we’ve course corrected for 2027. Thank you for sticking with us and telling us what needed to change.
A huge shout-out to Kylese, Dana and the KSEF team, the mountain team, and Kirkwood Ski Patrol. Your help with the venue change and all the logistics made the 2026 LBS a reality.
One thing we learned: Hully Gully was an awesome venue, and we’ll have it in our quiver again in 2027. We’ll share the final course and race-day details as they come together.
And a note to you all: every prize and all event schwag have been preordered and will be on site for our 2027 soirée. Live music, awards and daily giveaways are all ahead!
We’re bringing the tribe together, welcoming SnowBikes for the first time and bringing SnowSkates back into the mix. Bring your friends, your family and that Kirkwood spirit. I can’t wait to see you there.

Race schedules by age group
Big days start with a good plan. Find your athlete’s age group, check the race details, and bring your team spirit. There’s room for fast turns, brave first starts, and plenty of cheering.
These are Far West’s published race opportunities, not a confirmed KSEF travel roster. Plan your athlete’s season with Kylese.
Schedules checked September 14, 2026. Dates and venues may change. Start times, deadlines, lift tickets, waivers, and race-day instructions will come from each host’s official announcement. Age eligibility follows U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s season rules; your child’s birthday alone does not determine the correct entry.

How to register and keep KSEF posted
Register. Check in. Race together.
A little communication goes a long way. Help us put the right coaches in the right places by sharing your athlete’s race plans at least seven (7) days before each race.
- Register for the race. Use the organizer's official entry link and complete the required steps by the seven-day deadline—or earlier if the organizer requires it. Keep your registration confirmation.
- Tell KSEF in TeamSnap ONE. Once registered, update your TeamSnap availability
Please remember to update your availability in TeamSnap using the TeamSnap “Are You Going?” option.
Please select:
- ✓ Check mark = Yes, attending
- X = No, not attending
Keeping your availability up to date helps us quickly see how many athletes will attend each training session and plan accordingly.
Please also update your availability for daily training in TeamSnap
- Keep your coach posted. Share changes promptly, check TeamSnap ONE for meeting details and team updates, and confirm your coaching plan before making travel arrangements.
A TeamSnap ONE message or availability response does not complete the race organizer’s registration. If entries are not open yet, share your plans by the seven-day deadline and register when they open. These listings show race opportunities; KSEF coaching and travel plans require confirmation.
New season. New app: TeamSnap ONE.
Use the KSEF invitation from Dana or Kylese to join the team and follow its app setup instructions. Request your KSEF TeamSnap invitation if you do not have it.
Download TeamSnap ONE for iPhone or Android, then follow your KSEF invitation to create an account or sign in and join the team. Once you can access KSEF and its messages in TeamSnap ONE, delete the old TeamSnap app from your device. Installing the new app alone does not add you to KSEF.
Need a hand with setup or signing in? Email Dana or email Kylese.
Visit TeamSnap · Email your head coach directly
TeamSnap ONE keeps the team connected. Email is always another way to reach your coach, Dana, or Kylese.
Your KSEF race contacts
Use TeamSnap ONE to share your registration status and race plans with your head coach and Dana or Kylese at least seven (7) days ahead. Prefer email or need help getting connected? Reach us directly below.

Martin Luther King Weekend (MLK)
January 16–17, 2027 · The Plaza
KSEF Head-to-Head Race / Gala
Our annual Head-to-Head Race will be on Saturday, February 27, 2027! Conditions permitting; dates are subject to change.
There will be no regular team training that day, as this is a fun, family-oriented race where all athletes can race alongside their family members and coaches. We hope everyone can join in and enjoy the day! We will also provide a BBQ for all participants.
Registration Details
Online registration: TBD
In-person check-in/registration: Friday, February 26, from 4:00–5:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 27 (race day), from 6:30–8:30 a.m.
We strongly encourage signing up online ahead of time to help registration move smoothly. The registration link will be posted when available.
Waivers
Please make sure your online waiver is completed if you have not already. This is the same waiver used for our team, so if your athlete has already signed it, they are good to go.
