KSEF is Kirkwood's nonprofit ski race team. Athletes from age 6 through U16, plus adult Masters, train in small coached groups on one of the Sierra's most demanding mountains.
How a KSEF season works
Who. U8 / Jr. Devo through U16 race teams, Full-Time Elite, and Masters for adults. Age classes follow U.S. Ski & Snowboard.
When. Team training runs December 5, 2026 to April 11, 2027. Age-class teams train Saturdays and Sundays, 0900 to 1500 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.). Full-Time Elite trains Monday through Friday.
How you start. New athletes take an on-snow skills assessment before group placement. Registered athletes send in their 2026/27 athlete assessment before BlueZone Team Day on October 24.
Driving up from the Bay?
