For over four decades, KSEF has called Kirkwood Mountain home. We are a community of families, coaches, and young athletes who believe that the mountains teach us as much about life as they do about racing. Rooted in one of the Sierra’s most storied ski communities, our mission remains what it has always been: to develop confident, resilient young people through the sport of alpine ski racing.

Founded in 1984 by Kirkwood families who loved the mountain and believed in its young people, the Kirkwood Ski Education Foundation is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a singular purpose: helping kids grow through alpine ski racing.

We are more than a race program. We are a community that shows up for one another - on race day and every day in between. Our coaches, parents, and volunteers share a commitment to developing the whole athlete: building physical skill on the hill, fostering academic focus off it, and nurturing the confidence and character that carry our athletes through life.

At KSEF, every family belongs. Whether your child is clipping into gates for the first time or chasing FIS points, you’ll find a supportive, welcoming place on this mountain.

One day. One mountain. The entire KSEF community together. The H2H is our biggest event of the year: a day of head-to-head racing, family competition, and the kind of fun that only happens when this community shows up and lets loose. And when the gates come down, the real party begins, our annual Gala, Celebration, and Auction, where we raise the funds that keep KSEF running strong for the next generation.
