Hello KSEF Family,
We're incredibly grateful and excited to celebrate the outstanding progress our program has achieved this summer. Thanks to the vision, leadership, and relentless dedication of our Athletic Director, Kylese Markt, and our Program Administrator, Dana Keith, we are confidently entering a thrilling new era for the Kirkwood Ski Education Foundation.
🎉 Team and Coaching Highlights: A huge congratulations and warm welcome to our new Head Coaches and returning coaching team members. With all head coaching positions now filled, our programs are stronger and more cohesive than ever. Special recognition to Patrick Traynor as our U10 Head Coach and Jim Hein leading our U16 team—this season is shaping up to be exceptional!
🙏 Board Appreciation: Heartfelt thanks to all our members, families, coaches, and friends for your unwavering support, dedication, and enthusiasm. Together, we've accomplished so much, and your continued commitment truly sets the foundation for our ongoing success.
🚀 July Recap & Achievements:
Athlete Registration: Over 62 athletes have already registered for the 25/26 season.
New KST Sport Shop: Fully launched and loaded with gear! Shop KST logo wear, accessories, and more online now.
Revised Bylaws: The first revision has arrived and is under thorough review.
Race and Timing Facility: Eco-Sense Designs, Response Structural Engineers, and N/V/5 have completed plans, engineering, and environmental permitting documents—breaking ground is near!
Financing is secure, with a contingency plan in place to address increased project costs since 2017.
🔨 CapEx Investments—Your Dollars at Work:
All CapEx projects are currently underway and progressing on schedule:
Team Room remodel progressing smoothly
New team uniforms are shipping; existing gear is being cleaned and repaired
Radios are being fully repaired and reprogrammed
Office remodel and modernization are progressing well
Coach / Athlete enhancements underway, including Protern.io software integration, new video equipment, editing computers, and software
New timing gear acquisition on schedule for our upcoming Race and Timing facility
🏔️ Community & Athlete Engagement:
Fall Training Camp at Mammoth Mountain announced for November
Head Coaches are actively meeting with parents and athletes
Ongoing presence at local Farmers' Markets to connect with our community
Bluezone Sports team day and soirée planned and scheduled
Caples Lake Team Day officially on the calendar
🏋️♀️ Pre-Season Dryland Training: Kylese is currently in the planning stages of our pre-season dryland training program. Spots fill up fast, so be sure to register and secure your place to ensure you're game-ready from day one when the bull-wheels start spinning at KirkwoodMtn!
