The Dream is Becoming Reality: KSEF Race Building Moves Forward!
We've waited over seven long years, and the promise of a new Race Building at Kirkwood is closer than ever! Thanks to the incredible patience, unwavering support, and generous contributions of our KSEF community and donors, our much-anticipated Race Building project is finally coming to life.
Behind the scenes, KSEF’s Board has been persistently championing this critical, long-overdue project, and our relentless focus has paid off—we’re now closer than ever to seeing this vision become a reality.
We're especially grateful to our partners at Vail Resorts and the amazing Epic Promise team here in Lake Tahoe. Their continued support, guidance, and collaboration have been instrumental in moving this dream forward.
We're thrilled to share that recent conversations with our partners have placed us at the doorstep of breaking ground. Contracts are being finalized, and confidence is high among everyone involved that this summer we’ll see the very first shovels hitting dirt here at Kirkwood!
A special thanks to Steve Hodgkins and his team for their diligence and hard work in keeping this project moving forward. While a few final details remain, the path ahead is clear and bright. Even better, all required engineering, environmental, and planning approvals are already secured, placing us firmly in the starting gate, ready to race toward completion.
As we take these exciting next steps, the entire KSEF family is energized about what this Race Building represents—our collective commitment to strengthening and empowering the future of ski racing at Kirkwood.
