A Blend of Legacy and Vision: Announcing the 2025-26 KSEF Coaching Lineup!
A great season begins with great leadership. We are incredibly proud to announce the complete head coaching roster for the 2025-26 Kirkwood Ski Team! This year’s staff represents a powerful blend of Kirkwood legacy and fresh perspective, bringing together seasoned mentors and dynamic new talent. Each coach was chosen for their deep expertise, passion for ski racing, and unwavering commitment to developing our athletes both on and off the snow.
Please join us in giving a huge Kirkwood welcome to the leaders who will be guiding our teams this winter:
Junior Devos – Leading the Charge: Alisa Ferrier: Alisa returns to helm our Junior Devos, bringing her signature blend of infectious energy and foundational expertise. She is the perfect guide to instill a lifelong love of the sport in our youngest athletes and will be supported by a fantastic crew of seven additional coaches.
U10 – Building the Foundation: Patrick Traynor: A cornerstone of the KSEF program, Patrick Traynor is back to lead the U10s. His proven ability to develop strong fundamentals and race-day confidence is unmatched. Patrick and his five outstanding support coaches are ready to build the next generation of racers.
U12 – Bringing a Champion’s Mindset: Kendall Northrup: We are thrilled to welcome Kendall Northrup as the new head coach for our U12 team. Kendall’s extensive ski racing background and competitive spirit make her a tremendous asset. Joined by three skilled coaches, she is poised to elevate our U12s to new heights.
U14 – A Major New Talent for Kirkwood: Justeen Ferguson We are excited to welcome Justeen Ferguson to Kirkwood as she makes her return to coaching to lead the U14s! After eight years honing her skills at Palisades, Justeen brings a passion for mentorship and a wealth of high-level experience to our program. She and her team of four experienced coaches are ready to guide our athletes this season.
U16 – Guiding Our Most Senior Athletes: Jim Hein We are honored to welcome back the legendary Jim Hein to guide our U16 team. A true mentor in the sport, Jim’s track record for developing elite-level athletes is exceptional. His leadership, alongside his support staff, will be invaluable in preparing our skiers for the next stage of their racing careers.
The Team is Set. The Energy is Building. This roster is more than just a list of coaches; it is a dedicated team committed to a unified vision for Kirkwood Ski Team. The passion, experience, and mentorship assembled here are second to none. We can’t wait to see our athletes thrive under their guidance this winter.
