Important KSEF Community Update from the Board of Directors
Dear KSEF Community,
We want to share an important update regarding leadership and organizational changes at our foundation.
First: James Reilly is no longer serving as Program Director. This transition is part of the Board’s ongoing efforts—developed thoughtfully over the past several years—to shape long-term leadership aligned with the future vision of the organization.
Second: Following the Community Letter from Spring of 2024 and after soliciting broader community input, the Board identified and began to address critical operational priorities and improvements in overall governance. This work occurred before the Petition of 2025, but happened to align with the concerns and ideas expressed:
• Enhancing organizational transparency and accountability
• Clarifying roles and responsibilities
• Strengthening governance and financial management
• Investing strategically in the program to support growth
Third: In line with our ongoing commitment to improved governance, KSEF’s Board has begun to implement several key initiatives:
• We have engaged an external organization, Charitable Allies, to conduct a thorough and complete governance audit
• We plan to modernize our bylaws to meet current and future organizational needs
• We will implement a staggered three-year term structure for Board positions
• We are actively recruiting for a Treasurer position
• We are committed to including direct community input in electing future Board members
Looking ahead, we are recruiting for key leadership positions, including an Executive Director and Athletic Director, to complement our existing coaching staff. Additionally, Dana Keith has accepted a new role as Program Administrator to strengthen our operations.
We deeply appreciate your ongoing support, patience, and commitment to the Kirkwood Ski Education Foundation. Together, we will continue to build a transparent, inclusive, and thriving community.
Warm regards,
Kirkwood Ski Education Foundation Board of Directors
